Gunwharf Quays is just a short ferry ride from Gosport and offers a great day out for the whole family whether you are shopping, dining or looking for entertainment. With the majority of the stores and restaurants undercover, Gunwharf Quays is perfect come rain or shine! The modern complex is nestled amongst a historic setting, situated next to the Portsmouth Dockyard and HMS Victory and just a short walk from Old Portsmouth with its cobbled streets and waterside pubs. The area is steeped in history and offers a great day out to explore more. From Gunwharf Quays and Old Portsmouth, you can walk along the seafront to varied points of interest including the Round Tower, the funfair, the Isle of Wight hovercraft station and Southsea castle amongst many things.

Gosport Buzz Review
“We live locally and visit Gunwharf Quays via the Gosport Ferry many times throughout the year for shopping, dining and family occasions. We also pass by it whenever we go for a long walk along Old Portsmouth to Southsea. There are a good range of outlet stores and many cafes, bars and restaurants to choose from if you want to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Entertainment opportunities are varied with a 14 screen Vue cinema, bowling, comedy club and nightclub so there is something for everyone to enjoy.
I love Gunwharf and think it has contributed a great deal to the tourist attractions in the local area which include the Portsmouth Dockyard, HMS Victory and the Mary Rose.
There are a great range of restaurants, many with views of Portsmouth Harbour and you can sit and watch the ferries, yachts and ships pass by! If you love seafood, visit the Loch Fyne which is really nice.
The Old Customs House pub offers a welcomed break after a hard day’s shopping and walking with comfy leather sofas and some good ales and ciders on hand!
If you like walking and exploring, go further afield from Gunwharf towards Old Portsmouth and Southsea which have some lovely features on offer and are worth a look. You can also walk to the shopping centres at Southsea and Portsmouth if you want a stretch or just catch a local bus which will take you there.
To sum it up… well worth a visit!”
