Working from home and want more exercise?
Aching muscles from sitting in the same position all day?
It's a well-known fact that exercise is good for the body and great for the mind and an effective work-out can help relieve stress and tension and get your brain thinking again during your working day.
It's also a well-known fact that despite our best intentions, many of us just can't seem to find the time to fit in some exercise during the working week amongst everything else.
As a busy woman running a home-based business, my intended time to go to the local gym just never seemed to surface but having discovered the Wii Fit, I think I've finally found the answer with no excuses now!
The Wii Fit offers the chance to exercise in your own home, as and when you want to, for as little or as long as you want to. Exercises range from simple stretches with the on-screen trainer to long-distance runs (yes, you do run around your lounge!) and each activity is varied and interesting and gives good results too.
The Wii is perfect for home workers, mums and dads or anyone who just wants to exercise a bit more without having to endure the cost and embarrassment of the gym.
So, try not to get glued to your workspace and spend some time exercising during your working day.
The Wii offers:
- The ability to exercise when you want to with your business still close to hand
- A one-off cost with no costly gym membership fees or obligations
- No travelling time to the gym, allowing you to tackle work-related tasks in that time instead
- Great stress relief allowing you to free your mind and arrive back at your desk within minutes with everything under control!
- Exercise the muscles that become stiff from sitting in front of a computer all day
- Enjoyable, varied and fun
- Can be used by the whole family
- Many types of exercise and fitness options available allowing you to have a quick 10 minute stretch or a full workout session
But what is a Wii?
For those of you who've never heard of the Wii or don't know too much about it, in basic terms it's a gaming system with a difference.
Rather than a typical games console where the user sits in a chair glued to a screen for hours, the Wii offers an interactive experience where you actually move (imagine that!) and take part.
You'll need the Wii Console and some games to get you started together with the Wii Fit Board and Software for exercise programs and interactivity.
As someone who prefers to be outdoors, I do highly recommend it as a home-based activity and never thought it would be this much fun.
