'Gosport Buzz' was created in May 2007 and is a local website
created by local people.
The ideas came together after discussions between Cindy
Robins who runs Prickly
Pear Design and Martin
Duffy who has a wealth of knowledge and get-up-and-go
that never ceases to amaze.
The aim of the website is two-fold. Firstly, it offers local
traders the opportunity to advertise
their business professionally, locally and at a low cost.
Secondly, it offers customers the opportunity to praise local
traders and businesses to ensure that credit is given where
it is due.
We have chosen not to publish bad feedback, but we will
monitor all comments and any traders who receive a number
of negative comments will be removed from the website after
investigation. It is our aim to provide accurate information
where we can and we will endeavour to print only good, honest
recommendations from genuine people.
We believe word of mouth is a very powerful tool and hope
that you will use Gosport Buzz to both find and recommend
businesses in our local community.
The website, like any other,
is always under development and will grow in time. If you
have any suggestions or comments on any aspect of our website,
please let us know.
Cindy
runs Prickly
Pear Design, a web & graphic design company
based in Alverstoke in Gosport, and as a business owner,
is always keen to help other businesses grow.
Through her own experiences, she understands the up's and down's associated
with running a small business and is more than happy to help.
She also knows websites, with over 8 years experience in
the field and with a website of her own, she understands
what the small business owner needs to get their name out there.
Cindy's experience includes web design, graphic design and
digital photography and has covered a wide range of assignments mainly
within the web design field both in the USA and UK.
Cindy spent 8 years in Florida, Texas and California
before returning to the UK in 2000 and whilst she enjoyed
the experience
and
picked
up her web design skills whilst living there, feels 'it's good to
be home'.
When she's not designing web sites, Cindy loves walking, photography,
travelling near and far, and being in the great outdoors
whatever the weather but definitely prefers the sun!
